This 15.58"x8.5" (39.5x22cms)Finishing Kit contains a piece of cardboard bigger than the finished embroidered panel and smaller that the frame aperture, large needle and 10m of thick cotton thread for lacing.
Please read through the below steps before starting and take a look at the photos.
- Lay your finished embroidery panel on a clean flat surface.
- Place the carboard provided over the back of the finished embroidery making sure it is central and square. Adjust as necessary.
- Cut a 4m length of the thick cotton and thread the needle.
- Tie a small knot in the end of the thread.
- Fold the sides of the embroidery around the back of the cardboard and loosely lace like a bodice moving from one side to the other and moving down about 1.5cm each time. Ensure that the panel is square and central before then tightening and finishing off with a couple of stay stitches in the same place.
- Fold the top and bottom over the cardboard and repeat the lacing process. Again finish with a few stay stitches to secure.
- If you need a 2nd length of thread then tighten and tie of the first, thread a new length. tie off the end and continue.
- Clean your frame well and drop into frame.
